Hello all,
The COVID-19 outbreak has likely been a concern for many of our clients as it is a concern for our staff, our doctors, and our families. As a health care related business, we have always held cleanliness and sanitation as a top priority. In this time of increased risk and concern for disease transmission, we will be enhancing our sanitation measures with respect to cleaning and sanitizing at our practice to include cleaning of pens, credit card machines, door handles and counter tops surfaces etc. There is hand sanitizer at the reception counter, as well hand soap in the bathroom for your use.
We do ask for the health and safety of everyone that if you feel unwell, then to please stay at home. If your pet is in need of immediate medical assistance please allow someone else to bring your pet in and call to let us know that they have authorization to bring your pet in for medical treatment , we will be happy to contact you via phone during the time that your pet is at our facility.
We understand that veterinary care for our pets is an essential service, therefore we will do all we can to adapt to CDC recommendations while we continue to serve the needs of your pets as well as maintain the health and safety of our clients and staff . There may be some adjustments in the next few weeks, but we will strive to make them as simple and stress free as possible.
We are now offering the option for “curb side” style service to help you effectively manage and practice “social distancing” as recommended by the CDC.
If you would like to take advantage of this service, you can let us know when scheduling an appointment or at time of your appointment. All appointment related paperwork can be emailed or faxed to you prior to your visit.
“Curbside” protocol:
Call us when you arrive at the parking lot.
Please remain in your vehicle with your animal.
Care professionals associated with your appointment will discuss your needs by phone when you arrive. At the end of the phone conversation, a care professional will come to the parking lot (in a mask, gown, and gloves) to bring your animal into the building for evaluation.
After the medical team evaluates your animal, you will receive a phone call to discuss recommendations and a plan moving forward. Verbal consent for treatment and details surrounding financial estimates will be authorized via this phone call.
After the appointment is complete and any additional findings are discussed/questions are answered you will receive a phone call from a customer service representative to obtain payment via:
Credit card, Care Credit, cash,or check will be accepted.
Though these measures may seem like an inconvenience to some (and it is usually not how we prefer to conduct business), our primary goal is for all parties involved to stay healthy and for us to be able to continue to provide service throughout the duration of the Covid -19 pandemic.
We encourage our clients to refer to the CDC and the WHO websites for important updates about this pandemic. The CDC website also has good information about Covid-19 and Animals.
